Ranchi, September 2 (IANS). Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar is visiting villages in different districts of the state and communicating directly with the villagers. He is listening to the problems of the people and asking about the status of government schemes. The team accompanying him is also registering the problems. After this, officers are being directed to solve the problems of the villagers.
The Governor has visited six remote villages in different districts of the state in the last one week. On Monday, he interacted with the people of Rugadi Panchayat in Ichagarh block of Seraikela-Kharsawan. The Governor told the villagers, “The Central and State Government are running various schemes for the welfare of the people. I have come among you all to know whether you are getting the benefit of all these schemes or not? I have come to know your opinion and suggestions regarding these schemes.”
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, “Prime Minister Modi wants that you get 100 percent benefit of the schemes. If there is any problem in getting the benefits of various schemes, then tell about it so that the government and administration can be informed about it and your problems can be resolved.”
Referring to the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana’ for farmers, ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’ for mothers and sisters and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he asked people about their experiences.
A rural woman told the Governor that she has received benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, there is a toilet facility in her house, but she still cooks food on wood. On this, the Governor directed to provide Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala gas connection to the woman.
Similarly, many villagers told about problems related to road, drinking water and health. The Governor distributed Urad Mini Kit (Agriculture), Maternity Maternity Benefit Scheme, Medhavi Putra/Daughter Scholarship Scheme (Labour), Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana, KCC, PMFME, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, Land Lease under Forest Rights Lease Act among a group of Sakhi Mandal members. Before this, the Governor has visited different villages of Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Dumka, Gumla, Lohardaga and Jamtara districts and interacted with the villagers.
