The Lieutenant Governor ordered an inquiry into the Jai Bhima Coaching Scheme, you told the politics of vengeance

Education Minister Ashish Sood said that Lieutenant Governor (LG) V.K. Saxena has ordered an inquiry into the alleged corruption in the ‘Jai Bhima Pratibha Vikas Yojana’ during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said in a post on ‘X’, “Serious financial irregularities have been revealed in” Jai Bhima Chief Minister Pratibha Vikas Yojana “run in the year 2020-21”.

The Chief Minister alleged that the official budget for this scheme was only Rs 15 crore, but the Arvind Kejriwal government approved its bills worth more than Rs 145 crore.

Under this scheme, students of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and OBC (OBC) are provided free coaching in private institutions for various competitive examinations including Civil Services to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and OBC (OBC) for various competitive examinations including Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET).

At a joint press conference with SC/ST Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj, Sood alleged that a bill of Rs 145 crore was prepared during the Kovid period in 2021-22 for payment to private coaching institutes.

Reversing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led government, the Aam Aadmi Party termed the Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) investigation as ‘politics of vengeance’.

The AAP said in a statement that the BJP has closed the ‘working model of public services’ in education, health and electricity and accused the party of indulging in the politics of vengeance.

The party said in a statement, “Check every needle of every brick, Mohalla clinics of Delhi schools… but when you complete your work, start doing some real work.”
