New Delhi, September 8 (IANS). All eyes are on the visit of UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India. Especially on his meeting with PM Narendra Modi on Monday. Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajmani Patel reacted to the meeting of the two leaders.
Congress MP Rajmani Patel said in an exclusive interview with IANS, “These meetings are a part of our international policy. People from other nations have the right to come and meet in our country. Every leader meets and talks. Now it remains to be seen where our country stands in such meetings.”
He further said, “It is important to see where the poor of our country stand in the policies of our country and how much strength these policies get from these meetings.”
On Rahul Gandhi’s foreign tour, the Congress leader said, “Certainly Rahul Gandhi has been going abroad before and wherever he goes, he puts forward his values and the party’s views. He coordinates to get the cooperation of other nations in view of the values that are necessary for the people of the country, so that we can provide maximum facilities in our country. This is an approach and he will definitely put forward his views and its result will be good.”
Rajmani Patel also reacted to the foreign tours of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. He said, “He has the right to visit, but we believe that during these visits his focus should be on the nation, humanity and the Constitution.”
Along with this, he also gave his opinion on the question asked about Haryana assembly elections and Congress’ CM face. He said, “The right to decide on the CM is with the MLAs and our MLAs who will be elected will take the decision on this. Along with this, the party high command also takes a decision after looking at all the circumstances.”
