The question of Athawale when Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray did not leave in Mahakumbh, ‘Are they really Hindus?’

महाकुंभ में राहुल गांधी, उद्धव ठाकरे के नहीं जाने पर आठवले का सवाल,

Mumbai, 27 February (IANS). Union Minister and President of Republican Party of India (Athawale) Ramdas Athawale on Thursday questioned Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray not being involved in the Mahakumbh, whether he was really Hindus?

Athawale while speaking to the news agency IANS claimed that “his absence in the religious conference reflects the lack of confidence in Hindu traditions. He suggested that voters should not support him in the upcoming elections.”

Mahakumbh is a grand spiritual gathering lasting 45 days which concluded on 26 February. In this, Naga monks, saints and millions of devotees from all over the world came to the Triveni Sangam to take a holy dip. Various politicians and celebrities also participated in the program to seek divine blessings.

Rahul Gandhi and his ‘India’ block colleague Uddhav Thackeray did not participate in the grand Hindu ceremony.

Reacting to this, Athawale said, “Rahul Gandhi and Uddhav Thackeray did not join Kumbh. Whether they are Hindus or not? If they are Hindus, they should have gone to Mahakumbh. Their absence proves that they do not believe in Hinduism.”

He said that this is another reason that Hindu voters should not support them in the upcoming elections. Athawale said, “The public will definitely teach them a lesson.”

The Union Minister said that Mahakumbh is not limited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it “belongs to the entire Hindu community. Rahul Gandhi and Uddhav Thackeray’s political luck has already cheated and his absence in such important religious events will reduce his reputation further. He said,” The public has already excluded him and there will be no improvement in their situation in politics. “
