Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the service of the farmer for the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is like worship of God. He answered the supplementary questions asked by several members during the Question Hour in the House and said that farmers are being paid without delay in crop insurance scheme and strict action will be taken if the matter of corruption comes anywhere.
Chauhan said, “The earlier crop insurance scheme had flaws and under it, it took six months and a year to pay the claims.” He said that this system has now been changed and if the insurance company delays then He will have to pay 12 percent interest.
He said, “In the Congress government, there was a unit of determination of the claim under the old crop insurance scheme. This meant that the amount of insurance would be available only when the crop is ruined in the entire tehsil. We made a change in it and the unit of crop insurance scheme has created the village. ”
Chauhan said, “If there is a loss of a farmer, then it will be completely compensated … if Modi is possible.” He said, “For us, the service of the farmer, worshiping God.” Chauhan gave this to the House. He also informed that earlier crop insurance scheme was operated only through an insurance company, but now many insurance companies are connected to it.
