Raipur, September 6 (IANS) Chhattisgarh Sports Minister Tankaram Verma praised the schemes of the BJP government at the Centre and gave the credit for it to Prime Minister Modi.
Talking to IANS, he said, “Modi is such a Prime Minister who has thought about the poorest of the poor. He has taken up the work which could not be done even after 65-70 years of independence. Swachh Bharat Mission, toilet in every house is for the honour and respect of our mothers.”
He said, “Our Prime Minister made arrangements for tap water in every house. Our Prime Minister brought the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for the first time to make the mother power self-reliant. He started the Ujjwala Gas Scheme to protect mothers from dust and smoke. There are many such things. Whether we talk about ration card, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made many schemes for laborers and women power, the benefits of which are being received by the entire country including Chhattisgarh today.”
He also clarified BJP’s strategy for the elections in Haryana. He said, “Whenever elections are held anywhere, naturally there are many claimants for the ticket, but only one person gets the ticket. Some things keep happening, those who are soldiers of the party, disciplined people, have to follow the orders of the party.”
He said, “We cannot say anything about Congress and its allies. Our party stands with full strength, this is a party of workers, our party runs only due to their struggle and hard work and the result that comes is due to their hard work.”
Reacting to Farooq Abdullah’s statement on peace in Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “What will Farooq Abdullah say about peace? Our Narendra Modi talks about peace and prosperity. Under his leadership, today the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have got employment, the Ganga of development is flowing. This is the thinking of our Prime Minister.”
