Padder Nagseni, September 16 (IANS). Political turmoil continues regarding the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. The parties are attacking the opposition parties to win the elections to be held in the state. In this sequence, Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing an election rally in Padder Nagseni town of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, targeted the opposition parties. He said, “Now there can never be two heads, two symbols, two flags in Jammu and Kashmir. The flag will be only one, our beloved tricolor.”
After this, he said on the Pahari reservation, “They are saying that if our government comes, we will reconsider the reservation. Do not fall into their trap, if their government comes, they will not reconsider the reservation, but will remove it. When it came to giving reservation to the Paharis, they instigated the Gujjars that if the Paharis get reservation, the reservation of the Gujjars will go. We had promised the Gujjar brothers that the Paharis will definitely get reservation, but the reservation of the Gujjar brothers will not be reduced at all. Today, the Narendra Modi government has given reservation to the Paharis by keeping the reservation of the Gujjars as it is. I have come to tell all the parents living in the hills that those days are over when your children did not get admission in graduation. Now your children will work across the country as collectors and SPs. This right has been given to you by the Narendra Modi government.”
He said, “We have seen the days of partition in the country and also the days of terrorism in the valley in 1990. Be it Chandrakant Sharma or Parihar brothers, all these people have made sacrifices. Today, remembering all the brothers of this region, I promise you that we will bury terrorism so deep that it will never come out.”
