Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut spoke on the possibility of reunioning between cousins Raj and Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday and said that there has been no alliance yet, only emotional talks are happening.
Talking to the media, Raut further said that the relationship between the two brothers has not broken.
He said, “So far (between MNS and Shiv Sena) there has been no alliance, only emotional conversations are going on … Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray are brother. We have been together for years. Our relationship is not broken … Both brothers (about the alliance) will decide. We have agreed to Uddhav ji: For Maharashtra, if we need to come together.”
He said that the parties claiming to be friendly to Maharashtra are actually enemies of Maharashtra and they have broken the Shiv Sena to attack the pride of the state. He said that no connection with such parties should be held.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) MP further said, “Uddhav ji said that there are some parties that claim to be friendly from Maharashtra, but they are enemies of Maharashtra. He broke Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena to attack Maharashtra’s pride and we should not have any connection with such parties, only then we can be true Maharashtrian and we are not a condition of Maharashtra, but this is not a condition of Maharashtra.”
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the possibility of reunioning the two cousins and described it as a ‘good’ step.
Talking to reporters, Fadnavis said, “If both of them come together, we will be happy. If people resolve their differences then this is a good thing. What else can I say about it?”
Fadnavis was reacting to Raj Thackeray’s recent statement, in which the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief had forgotten the previous differences and expressed his desire to re -unite with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav.
