President Draupadi Murmu said on Saturday that there will be major changes in future with far -reaching progress in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and ‘machine learning’. Murmu said that the Center is taking steps to integrate AI in higher education and it is a matter of pride that the ‘Birla Institute of Technology’ in Ranchi is a pioneer in the field by launching the concerned courses in Mesra 2023.
Addressing BIT Mesra’s ‘Platinum’ birth anniversary celebrations, Murmu said, “AI and machine learning will have major changes in future with the expectation of far -reaching progress. The Government of India is taking steps to integrate AI in higher education. The opportunities being created in the field of technology should also be made available to the marginalized communities and everyone should get the benefit of major changes being made. ”
However, he warned innovators and entrepreneurs not to ignore the knowledge base of traditional communities, saying, “Often, problems do not require great technical intervention.”
The President inaugurated an exhibition showing science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
President Murmu reached Jharkhand on Friday as part of a two -day visit and rested the night at Raj Bhavan. Security in the capital of Jharkhand has been tightened in view of his visit.
