Gopi is accused of using the ambulance meant for patients for election campaigning, which is a violation of the rules. However, Gopi denied these allegations and said that the ambulance was used for rescue.

Thrissur Pooram festival was organized in April this year. In which ambulance was used. Now an FIR has been registered against Union Minister Suresh Gopi and two others in this case. This includes the names of Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism Abhijit Nair and an ambulance driver. The police gave this information on Sunday.
Suresh Gopi clarified
The FIR states that Gopi misused the ambulance for his election campaign in violation of restrictions. Ambulances designed for patients cannot be used for such work. But he traveled in it for publicity.” On this, Gopi gave his clarification and said that ‘his car was attacked near the festival venue, after which an ambulance rescue was done.”
The minister claimed that he was rescued by some youths who put him in that ambulance. Meanwhile, an ambulance was already present at the festival site to help the people. Police said they have been booked under sections 279 and 34 of the IPC and sections 179, 184, 188 and 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
