Those who saw the truth in the journeys of Hamas and Hizbullah, they see politics in the tricolor journey: Sudhanshu Trivedi

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi on Sunday criticized the government’s decision to send the delegation of MPs abroad, saying the opposition’s attitude reflects the lack of national unity.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Trivedi said that Pakistan is united. Many leaders in India are raising questions.

He said, “Pakistan is in a stronger position than us. Why is this? No one is questioning the ruling party and opposition leaders in Pakistan. Many leaders in India are questioning.”

Trivedi also said that statements of Indian leaders, including statements of Chief Ministers and former Chief Ministers, are being used against India in Pakistan.

He said, “No person from Pakistan is being cited in the Indian media. Cited the big leaders of India, Chief Ministers and former Chief Ministers. No one in Pakistan has any strength, which we can use against Pakistan in our dose. And the statements of big leaders of India and Pakistan are being used against us in the dosier.”

Speaking on the tricolor journey, Trivedi said, “They were also opposing the tricolor journey. Those who saw truth and tolerance in the journeys of Hamas and Hizbullah, they see politics in the tricolor journey organized in honor of the bravery of Indian armed forces.”

As part of an important nationwide campaign, the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ is being organized in different parts of the country to honor the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces after a successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The 11 -day campaign launched by the BJP on 13 May is to create a sense of national pride and unity in citizens, communities and areas, emphasizing the message of patriotism, national solidarity and respect for tricolor.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, emphasizing the need for national unity, cited the statement of late General Bipin Rawat in which he said that India is facing “war on 2.5 fronts”.

Trivedi said, “I think the country needs to be vigilant from all sides. This is the time. I believe that everyone should stand together and should rise above party politics and move forward.”

Trivedi also talked about Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, who is part of one of the delegations. He highlighted that Tharoor’s participation reflects mistrust and politics within the Congress party. He said, “There is so much mistrust and politics in the Congress that along with the Government of India and the Army of India, they mistrust the people of their party. So there is no cure for this illusion.”

Speaking on Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi’s alleged visit to Pakistan, Trivedi said, “Whatever explanation to Gaurav Gogoi has to give on that subject, because Himanta Biswa Sarma ji insisted with great firmness and gave a very clear answer. It did not come from his (Gogoi) side.”

In the end, the BJP spokesperson said that the government’s decision to send a delegation of MPs abroad is a step taken in the right direction. He said, “We have not seen who is protesting. We have said that the whole of India should be represented. It should be seen that the whole of India is moving forward unitedly.”

Earlier, the Congress party on Sunday accused the government of playing “cheap political sports” on a serious national issue, as one of the four Congress MPs/leaders suggested by the party was included in the delegation being sent abroad to explain India’s stand on terrorism from Pakistan.

The Congress party wrote in a post on X, “On the morning of 16 May, the Modi government asked for 4 names of Congress MPs/leaders to represent Congress in delegations to be sent abroad. These names were sent to clarify India’s stance on terrorism from Pakistan. These 4 names were given in writing to the Parliamentary Affairs Minister on May 16 at 12 noon. Gaya.

Jairam Ramesh had earlier criticized the government for not accepting all the names suggested by the party and called it “dishonesty from the government”.

Tharoor will lead an eight -member delegation who will go to America, Panama, Guyana, Brazil and Colombia. The delegation includes BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita and Tejashwi Surya along with LJP (Ram Vilas) Shambhavi Chaudhary, TDP CM Harish Balayogi, Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora, JMM’s Sarfraj Ahmed and former Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu in the US.

The all-party delegation is India’s diplomatic effort to highlight Pakistan’s support for terrorism on the global stage and to inform other countries about Operation Sindoor, under which the terror structure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir was targeted. In this operation, more than 100 terrorists associated with Jaish-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen were killed.

After the attacks, Pakistan opened fire from across the border and attempted drone attacks. In response, India carried out coordinated air strikes, damaging the major military infrastructure in 11 Pakistani airbases. On May 10, both sides announced consent to end enmity.
