Trinamool Congress general secretary and Diamond Harbor MP Abhishek Banerjee said on Monday that the Trinamool Congress will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Center in fighting terrorism. He said that the central government cannot unilaterally decide who will go from which party.
Asked whether the Trinamool Congress has separated itself from the multi -party diplomatic mission of the Center to deal with Pakistan -sponsored terrorism, Banerjee said, “I don’t know where you got this information. I am clearly saying that whatever decision the Central Government will take, the purpose of which is to compete with terrorism to protect the national interests of the country, the Trinamul Congress will stand up with the center.”
He further said that he has no problem with the departure of a delegation, the party should decide who will go to the members in the delegation.
He said, “We have no problem with the departure of a delegation … which member of our party will go to the delegation, it is my party’s decision. The central or central government cannot take a unilateral decision on which party will go … TMC, DMK, Congress, AAP and who will go to the Member delegation, this party should decide.”
The TMC leader said that the party is not boycotting the operation vermilion and we have never boycotted it.
Banerjee said, “TMC Operation is not boycotting vermilion. We have never boycotted Operation Sindoor. TMC is the only party that has not politicized the issue. The ruling party including some opposition parties has also tried to politicize it and I condemn it. When it comes, there is no place for politics.”
Trinamool Congress leader Sagarika Ghosh said that the foreign policy is completely the field of the government and should take full responsibility of our foreign relations.
Ghosh wrote on X, “AITC officials stand shoulder to shoulder with full solidarity with our armed forces for long -term effective resistance against Pakistan -based terrorism. The nation, flag and our national resolve belongs to the whole of India and every proud citizen.”
Sources in the Trinamool Congress said on Monday that no party MP or leader will participate in the initiative to send multi -party delegation to more than 30 countries by the Government of India. Earlier it was reported that TMC MP from Baharampur Yusuf Pathan may be part of the delegation.
A seven-group multi-party delegation led by one MP has been formed to combat global misinformation and highlight India’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
The list includes multi-party Parliament Parliamentary Parliament which is divided into seven groups with 8-9 members. A leader has been appointed for each group who will lead the delegation globally.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, while posting the list on Saturday, also highlighted how the Members of Parliament have shown a united stance towards “Ek Mission, Ek Message, Ek Bharat”.
Rijiju said in a post on X, “A mission. A message. One India. Seven all -party delegations will soon contact prominent countries under Operation Sindoor, which reflects our collective resolution against terrorism. Here is a list of MPs and delegations representing this joint front.”
Group 1 will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party MP Baijayant Panda. Three more BJP MP-Nishikant Dubey, Fangan Konyak, Rekha Sharma are part of this group. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad, nominated Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu and former Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla will be part of the group.
Group 2, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad of BJP, will visit some European countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark and others. Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena (UBT), Nominated Rajya Sabha member Chulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh of Congress, Amar Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar will be part of the group.
Group 3 is led by Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Executive President of Janata Dal (United). The nine -member group will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Japan and Singapore. BJP’s Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Prata Barua, Hemung Joshi as well as Yusuf Pathan of Trinamool Congress, John Britas of CPI-M, former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and Mohan Kumar are also part of the group.
Group 4 will be led by Shiv Sena MP Srikanth Eknath Shinde, who will visit the United Arab Emirates, Liberia, Congo and Sierra Leone. BJP’s flute Swaraj, Atul Garg, Manan Kumar Mishra, opposition members will include Indian Union Muslim League MP Mohammad Bashir, BJD’s Sasmit Patra and Sujan Chinoy.
Group 5 is headed by Shashi Tharoor of Congress, who will visit America, Panama, Guyana, Brazil and Colombia. BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita and Tejashwi Surya along with LJP (Ram Vilas) Shambhavi Chaudhary, TDP’s GM Harish Balayogi, Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora, JMM’s Sarfraj Ahmed and former Ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu will also accompany.
Group 6 will go to another group of European countries like Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia and Russia under the leadership of DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. Rajiv Rai of Samajwadi Party, Mian Altaf Ahmed of National Conference, Brijesh Chauta of BJP, Prem Chand Gupta of RJD, AAP’s Ashok Kumar Mittal will also be accompanied by Manjeev S Puri and Javed Ashraf.
Group 7 will represent India’s stance in Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia and South Africa under the leadership of NCP (SCP) MP Supriya Sule. BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Anurag Singh Thakur, V Muralitharan along with Manish Tiwari of Congress, Anand Sharma, TDP’s Lavu Shri Krishna Devlelu, AAP’s Vikramjit Singh Sahni and former permanent representative of India in the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin will put forward the policy of zero-violations against terrorism.
Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May, aimed at targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan in retaliation for the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April.
