Today in Parliament: Finance Bill will be introduced to pass 2025 in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, March 24 (IANS). The proceedings of both the houses of Parliament will resume on Monday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Finance Bill, 2025 to the Lok Sabha to consider and pass. The bill will be introduced with the aim of making the Central Government’s financial proposals effective for FY 2025-2026.

At the same time, Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary will make a statement about the status of implementation of recommendations in the first report of the Standing Committee on Finance on Finance on Finance (2024-2025).

Minister Suresh Gopi will make a statement about the action taken by the government on the recommendations/comments contained in the 343rd report of the committee on the demands of grants related to the Ministry of Tourism (2023-2024). They will also make a statement about the implementation of the recommendations inherent in the 364th report of the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture.

Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, will make a statement about his ministry. In addition, members Faggan Singh Kulaste and Vishnu Dayal Ram will present the third report of the Parliamentary Committee on the 27th report (17th Lok Sabha) of the Parliamentary Committee on the subject (17th Lok Sabha) on the subject of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Castes (2024-2025) on the action taken by the government on the 27th report (17th Lok Sabha) of the Parliamentary Committee on the subject of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.

Members Purushottambhai Rupala and Dr. Mallu Ravi will put the report of the Industry Standing Committee on the House related to promoting electric vehicles in the country. In addition, six ministers will put the report on the Table of the House on various issues related to their departments.

In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will present the amendments made by the Lok Sabha in the Oil Area (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2024 for consideration. The bill was earlier passed from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha passed it with amendments in its meeting on 12 March.

At the same time, the Banking Law (Amendment) Bill, 2024 will be introduced to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to be passed in Rajya Sabha. The bill was introduced by Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary on December 9, 2024, which proposes to amend the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, Banking Regulation Act, 1949, State Bank of India Act, 1955, and other related Acts. The bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha and now it is also to be passed from the Rajya Sabha.

Minister Shripad Yeso Naik will make a statement about the implementation of the recommendations inherent in the 19th report of the Department of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy. His statement will focus on delay in execution of power projects by the power sector companies.
