The dream of reaching Srinagar by train from Delhi came true on Wednesday. For the first time, a train with security forces reached Srinagar from Delhi by Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla (USBRL) rail connectivity route. This train was specially run for security forces.
About 800 soldiers were rushed to Srinagar railway station. This was the first time that a train with such a large number of security forces crossed the world’s highest railway Arch Bridge and the country’s first cable bridge.
Security forces are being deployed in the Kashmir Valley for the Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3. In such a situation, the Railway Board operated this special train for the security forces. The train left for Srinagar from Katra railway station at 8 am on Wednesday. Around ten o’clock the world’s highest rail route passed through Arch Bridge.
