After US President Donald Trump repeated his claim of ‘ceasefire’ between India and Pakistan, the Congress said on Tuesday that he (Trump) is not only connecting the two countries together, but also comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his Pakistani counterpart Shahbaz Sharif. Congress media and publicity head Pawan Kheda shared a clip of Trump’s new statement during an event in Saudi Arabia.
Pawan Kheda wrote in the caption, “The US President again said that I used business to make a deal between him (India and Pakistan) and they agreed.” He said that Donald Trump is not only connecting India to Pakistan, but he is also comparing Prime Minister Modi to Shahbaz Sharif. He asked if such a comparison was acceptable to the Prime Minister.
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram took a sarcasm at the government
Praveen Chakraborty, chairman of ‘Professional Congress and Data Analytics’, took a sarcasm at the government saying, “The Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of India are equal. Pakistan and India have equal powers. Who is saying this? Who is saying? Prime Minister Modi’s ‘good friend’ President Trump.” Congress MP Karti Chidambaram also shared Trump’s comments in Saudi Arabia and took a sarcasm at the government. “This story was not part of the course,” he said.
Donald Trump once again claimed that the US administration has successfully performed the historic ceasefire to prevent the growing struggle between India and Pakistan. Addressing the Saudi-US investment forum in Riyadh, the US President said, “As I said in my inaugural speech, my biggest hope is to become peacemaker and unity. I do not like war. By the way, we have the largest army in the world’s history.” He claimed, “A few days ago, my administration successfully interacted on the historic ceasefire to prevent increasing violence between India and Pakistan.” The first phase of his four -day visit to Trump Gulf region is in Saudi Arabia.
US President Trump made a big claim
The US President said, “And I used the business a lot to do so. And I said, friends, let’s make a compromise. Let’s do some business.” The audience played applause during Trump’s speech. Billionaire Alan Musk was also present during this period. India and Pakistan agreed to end the struggle on May 10 after drone and missile attacks from across the border for four days.
