NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar said on Monday that it is a very serious matter if US President Donald Trump’s recent statement about elections related to elections in India is true.
He was answering media questions on Tesla’s chief Alan Musk’s comment against EVM. Pawar told reporters, “The most serious thing seems that Trump has contributed something to our elections. If this statement is true, it is a very serious thing.”
Pawar emphasized the need for clarity and transparency regarding any external intervention in India’s democratic processes.
On 16 February, Doge of Trump Administration said that USAID has canceled US $ 21 million funding for “voting in India”, this statement led to a fierce dispute between BJP and Congress -led opposition parties.
Trump had claimed that the Biden administration had allocated the wealth of US $ 21 million to India for voting.
Musk issued a message on X on X in June last year, claiming that electronic voting machines should be abolished, because ‘the risk of hacked by humans or AIs, although is small, still much more Is.’
He was reacting to allegations of irregularities due to EVMs in Puerto Rico elections.
