'Two parties changed, they formed their party ...' Suddenly the lyrics of Swami Prasad Maurya about Mayawati, know what is the political equation?

In terms of population, there is a political upheaval in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state. After Home Minister Amit Shah called Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya as ‘my friend’, Akhilesh Yadav had a political speculation in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after Akhilesh Yadav’s alliance with the Congress to contest the 2027 election. Now Swami Prasad Maurya has become the center of political discussion. Swami, who once left Bahujan Samaj Party by making personal attacks and serious allegations against Mayawati, seems to change his attitude these days. Swami Prasad Maurya also attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP) with the BJP in Barabanki, UP a day earlier, but avoided raising a finger on the BSP.

He praised BSP chief Mayawati and also described her as the best Chief Minister ever. However, he also said that Behenji is no longer the same as before. A day before this statement, Swami Prasad also congratulated the BSP national coordinator Akash Anand and said that he is absolutely new in politics. They (Akash Anand) should be given more importance in the party. After these two statements of Swami Prasad Maurya in two days, questions are being raised as to why he has suddenly become Mayawati’s admirers? Swami, who has seen many ups and downs in UP politics, is soft towards the BSP, is praising Mayawati’s CM’s tenure, advocating his importance by congratulating Akash Anand … Is this a sign of his political journey to return to his old party?

The party changed, but no status like BSP
Actually, Swami Prasad Maurya started his political journey with the BSP. In 1996, on the BSP ticket, he was counted among the closest and powerful leaders of Swami Mayawati, who was elected MLA from Dalmau seat for the first time. Swami Prasad Maurya also had the status of Swami Prasad Maurya even during the tenure of Mayawati -led BSP government in UP. He was counted among the most powerful ministers. After the BSP was out of power in the 2012 UP elections, the situation changed and Swami’s political Naiya also started to waver. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BSP was reduced to zero and Swamy started looking for a new political place. In August 2016, Swami Prasad Maurya left the party, accusing Mayawati of selling tickets and joined the BJP. After the BJP’s victory in the 2017 UP elections, Swami Yogi also became a minister in Adityanath -led government, but he became disillusioned with the party before the 2022 elections and resigned from the post of minister and rode on the SP’s bicycle. Swami Prasad Maurya could not even win his seat in the 2022 UP elections. After leaving the BSP, Swami first joined the BJP, became a minister and then went to the SP, but did not have the same status as it used to be in BSP.

Are Swami preparing to return to BSP?
Swami’s recent statements are also being seen as an exercise to give a soft signal to return to the BSP, so that the old status can be re -achieved. It is also being said that Swami Prasad Maurya is now busy preparing a return pitch to the BSP to save his political existence. Although Swami Prasad Maurya may have formed his party by the name of Janata Party, he has formed an alliance under the name Lok Morcha and declared himself a CM face, but he could not achieve the status that the BSP had ever got. Perhaps they have realized that the BSP can only give the third strong angle in the direct battle of BJP and SP. The BSP is also fighting for its existence after the old leaders leaving the party and Swami is fighting to keep himself relevant in politics.
