He said that in this budget of this year, Rs 4.49 lakh crore was allocated for the development of women, which shows a significant increase compared to previous years. He informed that for the first time, the limit of term loan has been increased to Rs 2 crore for women entrepreneurs under the Stand-up India scheme. Explaining the main features of the women’s empowerment initiative, Annapurna Devi said that Rs 5,000 crore was allocated to set up hostels for working women in major industrial areas.
He said that 12 crore toilets and 12 crore tap connections have been provided in the last 10 years, which has improved the availability of cleanliness and clean water. He said that special emphasis has been laid on rural electrification and infrastructure projects to improve the quality of life of women in remote areas. In the last decade, Jharkhand has seen the development of remarkable infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has ensured better connectivity, health facilities and employment opportunities for the people.
The Union Minister expressed confidence that Jharkhand will continue to touch new heights in development and prosperity with the continuous support of the people and the strong policies of the government.
