Haryana News Desk !!! Congress and BJP are busy finalizing the names of candidates for Haryana Assembly Elections 2024. Congress has almost finalized the candidates for 34 seats. On the other hand, BJP is also preparing to release a jumbo list of 55 seats. According to information received from sources, both the parties can release the first list in a day or two. Meanwhile, Congress wants to end the 10-year drought of victory in the state. For this, it is also exploring ways of alliance politics. Earlier, both the parties have said that they will contest the Haryana Assembly elections separately. So let us know how much loss will BJP suffer if there is an alliance between Congress and AAP in Haryana?
Congress CEC meeting was held on Monday to decide the names of candidates for Haryana assembly elections. Rahul Gandhi also attended this meeting. During the meeting, he surprised everyone by saying that how can we go with AAP’s Chief Minister in Haryana? He sought a report on this from the local leaders of Haryana. Not only this, Congress has also formed a committee of Deepak Babaria, Ajay Maken and Bhupendra Hooda under the leadership of KC Venugopal.
AAP is demanding 10 seats in Haryana
According to Congress sources, the party has agreed to give 3-4 seats in the Haryana assembly elections. However, AAP is demanding 10 seats. A 4-member committee of AAP leaders and Congress can also hold a meeting in Chandigarh or Delhi regarding this. So the question is, if Congress and AAP contest the elections together, how much loss will BJP suffer?
1. If Congress and AAP contest the elections together, then BJP’s non-Jat politics can change. By joining hands with AAP, Congress can get the votes of Dalits and OBCs.
2. This alliance was the main reason for BJP’s defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress contested on 9 seats and AAP on 1 seat. The result was that BJP got 5 seats out of 10. At the same time, Congress managed to win 5 seats.
3. Due to the support of AAP, Congress got 7.87 percent more votes in 2024 than in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
4. Both the parties have won Chandigarh Mayor Election and Chandigarh Lok Sabha Election.
5. Congress and BJP could have benefited if AAP had fought separately. In Gujarat, Congress suffered a loss due to both of them fighting separately and as a result, the party’s seats got reduced.
