शारदा सिन्हा के निधन पर केंद्रीय मंत्री जीतन राम मांझी ने जताया दुख

New Delhi, 6 November (IANS). Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has expressed grief over the demise of Padma Bhushan Sharda Sinha. He expressed his condolences on social platform X.

Manjhi wrote, I am shocked by the demise of Bihar Nightingale Sharda Sinha. His singing has given a dignified recognition to the culture of Bihar, Bhojpuri music and the greatness of Chhath festival at the international level. May God grant him a place at Shri’s feet.

Jitan Ram Manjhi said in a video post, it is a very sad thing for the whole of India and the culture of India, especially the regional culture. We pray to God that his soul rest in peace. We understand the way he has served by singing regional songs. We should take inspiration from the songs of Chhath Puja, Devi, Mundan and marriage. This will be our true tribute to Sharda Sinha. As long as this world exists, we will continue to be aware of the songs sung by him.

Let us tell you that a few days ago Sharda Sinha was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi due to illness. On Monday, when his health deteriorated, he was shifted to ventilator. Sharda Sinha’s son Anshuman Sinha had shared the information about her demise on the social media platform. In the post he had written that your prayers and love will always be with the mother. Chhathi Maiya has called mother to herself. Mother is no longer with us physically.

72-year-old Sharda Sinha, awarded Padma Bhushan, is known for singing Maithili and Bhojpuri songs. He has also been honored with Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan for his contribution to songs and music.

Sharda Sinha was born on 1 October 1952 in Samastipur, Bihar in a family associated with music. She started her career with All India Radio and Doordarshan in 1980 and soon became famous for her powerful voice and emotional delivery. The special thing was that he gave such songs to the Bhojpuri listeners which were beyond obscenity.
