UP By Election 2024: Amidst the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party has demanded action from the Chief Electoral Officer, making serious allegations against the police and administrative officials of Majhwan of Mirzapur and Kundarki assembly constituencies of Moradabad. SP said that officers and employees should be transferred with immediate effect, so that fair, free, transparent and fear-free elections can be conducted.
In a memorandum given to the Chief Electoral Officer, the State President of Samajwadi Party said that at the behest of BJP, voter slips are not being distributed by BLOs to the party supporting voters, especially among the Muslim and Dalit population, in Kundarki Assembly by-election constituency of Moradabad. On the instructions of the Election Commission, it should be ensured that 100 percent voter slips are distributed by BLOs in the entire constituency 5 days before voting. Due to continuous revision of voter list and allocation of polling places, the booths and voter numbers of a large number of voters change. Voters do not get information about booth number and voter number, due to which people are deprived of voting.
A conspiracy is being hatched to deprive them of voting.
SP said that in Kundarki Assembly by-election area, the administration and police administration are collecting the ID (Voter Identity Card) and Aadhaar cards of SP supporting voters and depositing them with the officials. ID is being collected by the ration dealer of Block Kundarki village Bhandra Bhadli. The administration and the police administration, at the behest of the ruling party candidate, are conspiring to deprive SP supporting voters from voting by making them submit ID, Aadhar card.
In Kundarki Assembly by-election constituency, Senior Superintendent of Police Moradabad and Additional Superintendent of Police, Police Area Officers and Police Station Heads and their entire staff should be transferred out of the constituency with immediate effect. The associates and staff of the said police officers are harassing the SP supporters.
Policemen working as agents of BJP
In the Majhwan Assembly by-election constituency of Mirzapur, SP has termed Dehat police station incharge Ajay Seth, Padri police station incharge Dayashankar Ojha and Kachwan police station incharge Anjani Rai as agents of BJP. He said that despite the permission order issued for election campaign vehicles, the campaign vehicles are stopped by the police personnel for several hours. Drivers are being assaulted. Campaign vehicles are being stopped from campaigning.
BJP parties are creating pressure for voting
SP has made serious allegations against police station incharge Ajay Seth, Dayashankar Ojha, Anjani Rai and said that by calling party officials, workers and supporters to the police station, they are pressurizing them to campaign and vote in favor of the BJP candidate. Along with this, if they refuse, they are threatening to implicate them in false cases, send them to jail, get their houses bulldozed, which is affecting the elections. SP said that written complaints have been given to the Returning Officer, District Election Officer and Observer several times, but no action has been taken. It is not possible to conduct free, transparent, fair and fear-free elections.
