The results of UP Assembly by-elections have once again made Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath a ‘hero’. After Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, the election results of Maharashtra as well as UP made it clear that Yogi’s slogan ‘Bantege to Kantege’ has worked.
The slogan of ‘Bantege to Contege’ proved to be a game changer in the UP by-elections. This slogan awakened Hindu consciousness. This slogan dashed all the hopes of the opposition. The way CM Yogi Adityanath won the UP by-elections with the slogan of ‘Bantege to Kantege’. He has completely compensated for the disappointment he faced in the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, BSP, which had entered the by-election field in the hope of mass support, again had to return empty handed. Whereas Chandrashekhar Azad and Owaisi’s teams were not even seen in the contest. Of the nine by-elections for nine seats in UP, in 2022, BJP won only Ghaziabad, Khair and Phulpur seats, while Majhwan seat went to the party’s ally Nishad Party and Meerapur seat was won by Rashtriya Lok Dal. Katehari, Sisamau, Kundarki and Karhal were won by SP.
