UP By-Election 2024: Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party have released another list of candidates for the assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. SP has announced its candidates from Ghaziabad and Khair seats. At the same time, BJP has fielded a candidate from Sisamau seat.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has fielded Singh Raj Jatav from Ghaziabad assembly seat. He has been a local councilor and GDA member. At the same time, Dr. Charu Kain has been made a candidate from Khair of Aligarh. She has contested the assembly elections in 2022 from Bahujan Samaj Party. He had to face defeat in this election. After this he joined Congress. This time Samajwadi Party has bet on him. Including these seats, SP has fielded its candidates on all 9 seats. At the same time, SP has taken this decision after the announcement of not fielding candidates from alliance partner Congress. Let us tell you that earlier Samajwadi Party had fielded its candidates on seven seats, leaving two seats for the alliance partner Congress, but now Congress has decided not to contest the by-elections.

At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party has given ticket to Suresh Awasthi from Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, BJP had announced candidates on seven seats and left one seat for ally RLD. RLD has also made Mithilesh Pal its candidate from Meerapur assembly seat.
