UP Bye-Election: A meeting was held at the residence of BJP National President JP Nadda in Delhi regarding the upcoming assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Everything from ticket distribution to strategy was discussed in the meeting. During this time, it has been decided that BJP will field its candidates on 9 seats and has left one seat for ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), although this has not been officially confirmed.
A meeting regarding the assembly by-election was held at the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, BJP UP President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Deputy CM Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak attended this meeting. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding the by-elections to be held on Phulpur, Khair, Ghaziabad, Majhwan, Mirpur, Milkipur, Karhal, Katehari, Kundarki and Sisamau assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh.
RLD may get one seat
According to sources, the BJP central leadership has considered giving one seat to RLD and it is Mirpur assembly seat. BJP can field its candidates on all the remaining seats. However, there has also been discussion regarding Nishad Party. The central leadership will take a decision on the alliance after talking to Nishad Party. It is being told that BJP may bet on new candidates this time.
