Lucknow, Aug 31 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday gave the gift of another Vande Bharat Express train to Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains, one of which will run between Meerut and Lucknow (Charbagh).
CM Yogi has expressed happiness over this gift given by the Prime Minister to the people of UP. After participating virtually in this program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked the Prime Minister on the social media platform for this gift to the people of the state.
On his social media account, CM Yogi wrote, ‘Under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the visionary of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, the country’s economic, social and cultural development journey continues unabated. Giving further impetus to this journey, the Prime Minister has today gifted 3 new Vande Bharat Express trains to the countrymen. The Prime Minister has virtually launched the ultra-modern and world-class Vande Bharat Express trains between Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru, Chennai-Nagarcoil. Heartfelt thanks to you Prime Minister for this gift of promoting tourism and business along with better connectivity.
It is noteworthy that with the launch of Vande Bharat Express train between Meerut and Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh has been connected with high speed connectivity with western Uttar Pradesh. Through this, the people of the state will get the benefit of pleasant, smooth and comfortable travel.
Earlier, 6 Vande Bharat Express trains were being operated in the state. These trains were operating between Delhi-Varanasi, Ranchi-Varanasi, Lucknow-Dehradun, Patna-Lucknow, Anand Vihar-Ayodhya and Gorakhpur-Prayagraj. Now Meerut-Lucknow Express train has also been added to this.
Before flagging off the trains, PM Modi said that today another chapter is being added to the country’s development journey from north to south. From today, Vande Bharat train service is starting between Meerut-Lucknow. With this expansion, our country is moving step by step towards the goal of developed India.
The three Vande Bharat trains that have started today have provided connectivity to three important cities. Vande Bharat Express train is also being operated on Meerut-Lucknow route. This is great news for the people of West UP. Meerut and Western UP are the land of revolution. Today this region is witnessing a new revolution of development. On one hand, Meerut is getting connected to the capital Delhi through RRTS, on the other hand, the distance to the state capital Lucknow has also reduced due to this Vande Bharat Express train. NCR is becoming an example of how modern trains, network of expressways, expansion of air services, vision of PM Gati Shakti is changing the infrastructure of the country.
