These things were said by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday on the occasion of the inauguration of UP International Trade Show-2024 organized at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. Earlier, the Vice President along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the stalls set up in various halls built here. Along with this, the program was formally inaugurated by lighting Manideep. Extending his best wishes, the Vice President said that he was very happy to be at the event. He said that after observing various stalls here, it felt like he was in the most developed country in the world. He said, “This event provides an opportunity to bring the artisans, craftsmen of the state and buyers from all over the world on one platform. I congratulate Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for such thoughtful, visionary and practical thinking.”
Vietnam in the right place
The Vice President also expressed happiness that Vietnam, a country with an impressive GDP in South Asia, has joined as a ‘partner country’ in the second edition of the UP International Trade Show. He said that Vietnam should be assured that it is in the ‘right place’ as they can connect with the ‘best people’ here. We can experience the rich culture of India and UP as well as Vietnam here. The similarities between the two countries are amazing. Visitors from UP and across the country can enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, famous for its unique taste, here. This will be beneficial to further enhance our bilateral relations. It is the visionary leadership of PM Modi that he has raised the voice of the Global South. This is an important event and everyone who comes here will take with them the feeling of a happy moment.
Uttar Pradesh is rapidly becoming an ‘enterprise state’
The Vice President said that the whole country should know about this event. It should be shown through Sansad TV. The state’s technical, cultural wealth, one district-one product etc. are being showcased through the exhibition. The Vice President said that the coordination between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the implementation of works is unmatched. There is no place for corruption and inefficiency in this. Due to the continuous efforts of CM Yogi, UP is rapidly becoming an ‘Enterprise State’.

The Vice President said that UP is full of development and innovation activities in all sectors. In two years, our economy will surpass Germany and Japan and reach the third position. Due to the efforts of CM Yogi, world-class airports, expressways and highways are being seen as strong infrastructure in the state. 12 new industrial areas have started in the third term of PM Modi, AI has made its place. The World Bank and IMF are praising us. Our digitalization and technological penetration is excellent. A decade of Make in India has given positive results in various sectors and UP is a leader in this.
Now UP has become a big power in the country
The Vice President said that nothing is more important than law and order. Uttar Pradesh is a state with a cultural background, where there were challenges of law and order, an atmosphere of fear and less possibilities of development. Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, this state is now moving very fast towards development. This change is unimaginable. In a way, UP has been completely transformed. Corruption is now a thing of the past in UP. The largest state UP has now become a great power in the country.

The Vice President said that UP aspires to reach the target of one trillion dollars by 2027. The massive focus on infrastructure here makes it a powerful state. The Yogi effect is clearly visible in all this. Noida has contributed 10 percent to UP’s GDP. This city is full of skills. This state is an engine of development and is growing rapidly to take the country forward. He said that he is impressed by the vision of Yogi Adityanath.

The Vice President said that this is not just an exhibition but a basket of opportunities for everyone. This program is going to make the mantra of ‘self-reliant India’ and ‘local to global’ a reality. He said that a very big Maha Yagya is being held in the country, which will fulfill the goal of making a developed India by 2047, in this we all will also have to make sacrifices.

Addressing the program, Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi praised UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He wished for the success of the second edition of UP International Trade Show. Praising the ODOP scheme, he said that UP is making an important contribution in creating an industrial environment in the country. The path of economic development of the country goes through UP. Due to the world-class infrastructure provided by the Yogi government here, Uttar Pradesh has become a favorite destination for investors. He said that the central government will provide all possible help to UP for the MSME sector. The Union Minister said that the MSME sector contributes 45 percent of the exports from India. 14 percent of the country’s MSME units are established in Uttar Pradesh, whose number is more than 96 lakh. This strengthens the country’s economy, as well as this sector has a major contribution in women empowerment.
70 countries will participate, 4 lakh footfall expected
The second edition of UP International Trade Show is being organized from 25 to 29 September at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. 2500 stalls of defense, agriculture, e-commerce, IT, GI, education, infrastructure, banking, financial services, dairy industry etc. have been set up in it. This trade show is being organized for the second consecutive year to take the MSME sector to new heights. This year, 70 countries are expected to participate in UPITS and 4 lakh footfalls are expected. Apart from this, fashion show of Khadi garments and cultural programs by artists will be performed in UPITS. Exporters, ODOP and women entrepreneurs of the state are participating in the trade show on a large scale. This will provide a global showcase to small entrepreneurs.
