Former CM Akhilesh Yadav posted on his social media handle X, in which he wrote – The BJP minister who is making the youth even more distressed in this environment of grief by preaching to develop the strength to withstand pressure in the country’s youth instead of improving the working conditions, is requested that if her government cannot give any consolation, cannot bring any improvement, then it should not do so, but should not increase public anger with its heartless and insensitive advice in the context of this incident.
He further wrote, the employed people of the country have no hope from BJP because BJP has flourished with the money of capitalists like them, who increase their profits by exploiting the employees and share that profit with BJP. Today, in terms of work pressure and stress, there is a similar situation everywhere from private jobs to government jobs. People are doing their jobs out of compulsion. The condition of employed people has become worse than bonded labourers because they do not even have the right to speak. Government is there to solve problems, not for baseless suggestions.

She died in July 2024, about four months after working here. After the death of Anna Sebastian, her mother wrote a letter to EY Chairman Rajiv Memani, in which she said that Anna was burdened with excessive work. Due to this she was ‘physically, emotionally and mentally’ distressed. At the same time, the government had said that the account firm would investigate the work environment at EY.
