: UP Politics The politics of the state has started heating up regarding the upcoming assembly by-elections to be held on 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is not leaving any opportunity to corner the Yogi government. In this connection, he has attacked the Yogi government and BJP on Tuesday. He said that the government is hatching conspiracies to avoid its defeat in the by-elections, the Election Commission should take cognizance.
Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has attacked the Yogi government and BJP by sharing a video on his social media account. He wrote in his post, “To avoid its possible defeat in the by-elections of 10 assembly seats in UP, on one hand BJP is getting the desired transfers done, and on the other hand it is getting the names of legitimate voters deleted. The Election Commission should immediately take cognizance of this. Conspiracies are a sign of defeat.”
Accused of changing BLO on the basis of caste and religion
Earlier also Samajwadi Party had accused of transferring BLOs and officers on the basis of caste. SP had said that Muslim and OBC BLOs have been removed and non-Muslim and non-OBC people are being appointed in their place. SP had called changing BLOs on the basis of caste and religion before the by-election as undemocratic and had demanded action from the Election Commission.
To avoid its possible defeat in the by-elections of 10 assembly seats in UP, on one hand BJP is getting transfers done as per its wish and on the other hand it is getting the names of legitimate voters deleted. Election Commission should take immediate cognizance of this.

By-elections will be held on these seats
– Assembly by-elections are to be held on 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, the Election Commission has not yet announced the dates. However, it is being said that the election may be announced soon.
– These assembly seats had become vacant due to the MLAs becoming MPs in the Lok Sabha elections-2024.
By-elections will be held in Karhal, Sisamau, Milkipur, Ghaziabad, Kundarki, Meerapur, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhawan and Khair seats of Uttar Pradesh.
