People are taking special precautions to avoid this danger. Many citizens are walking wearing a muffler to protect their neck. People are pleading the government to close this thread.
Apart from the death of two people, more than a dozen people have been injured so far due to this accident. These incidents have created an atmosphere of fear among the people.
In view of this serious situation, the administration has decided to take strict steps. Strict action will be taken against the sale and purchase of Chinese Manjha. The administration says that if any person gets injured or loses life due to this dangerous manja, then an FIR will be registered against the person concerned.
Varanasi Additional Police Commissioner S Chinappa told IANS, “Recently, in the action against Chinese manjha, it has been seized in large quantities. Two of the people who were selling it have also been jailed under cognizable sections.” We also held a meeting with all the traders and told them that action will be taken against those who are selling this.
Rakesh Singh, a local resident, said, “We feel that if the police takes proper action in this matter then it will definitely benefit the public. Family members and other people are also living under the shadow of fear. People are worried about their safety. We are going out by tying mufflers around our necks and wearing helmets, but this is not a permanent solution. We all pay taxes and we have the right to move freely on the road, not to live in an environment of fear like this. from a small incident The life of a family can be ruined. Therefore, the Police Commissioner of Varanasi should take immediate action on this matter and keep a strict vigil on it. This matter can be handled properly under the control of Varanasi.”
Vachit Pati Mishra said, “Chinese Manjha should be opposed as it has caused many accidents in which some people have been injured and some have even lost their lives. The government should take strict action on this. People should protect their safety. They are tying mufflers around their necks and taking precautions to avoid any untoward incident. They are constantly paying attention to this, so that no accident happens anywhere due to this dangerous manja.”
