Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has started a ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar. The journey started from Sasaram, which will cover more than 20 districts by covering a distance of 1,300 km in 16 days. The yatra is being organized to preserve voter rights and to raise awareness against “vote theft”. Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of India block believe that there is dissatisfaction in the election process about disturbances and irregularities in special intensive revision. The yatra will end in Patna on 1 September.
During this, Rahul Gandhi said, “This is a fight to save the constitution. RSS and BJP are trying to destroy the constitution across India. Narendra Modi and BJP win every election. In the Lok Sabha, our alliance wins in Maharashtra, and after 4 months, the BJP wins the alliance in the same Maharashtra. When we conducted a little investigation, we came to know that after the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission magically made 1 crore new voters in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha. There was a difference. Wherever these new voters come, BJP wins there.
The Leader of Opposition further said, when we investigated, all records were taken out, we came to know that more than one lakh votes were stolen in one assembly in Karnataka and due to these votes, BJP won the Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka. When we said this in the press conference, the Election Commission sought an affidavit from us. Affidavit is not sought from BJP people. This is his (Election Commission) data, his figures but they are asking for an affidavit to me. We asked him for CCTV footage but refused.
