Indore, 3 April (IANS). After the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that this bill is beneficial for poor Muslims.
Minister Vijayvargiya, while discussing with reporters, said that the Waqf Board was under the grip of some land mafia, which has been taken out by the government. This will benefit the poor sections of the poor. Referring to the current situation of Waqf, Minister Vijayvargiya said that thousands of cases are pending in the Waqf Board, his appeal was not there anywhere, could not even go to court. It was such a situation that he himself was a moneylender and himself decisive.
Urban Administration Minister Vijayvargiya further said that there was no democracy in the Waqf Board. This has happened for the first time after 75 years of independence. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the change that has come is a very important step for the development of poor Muslim brothers. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi did not participate in the discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. Vijayvargiya did not react to this question.
On Wednesday, the Waqf Amendment Bill was discussed for more than eight hours in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and voted was held late in the night. 288 MPs voted in favor of the bill, while 232 MPs voted in favor of the bill. There was a ruling party on one side about this bill, on the other side there were other parties including Congress. While the government counted the merits of this bill, the opposing parties called it anti -Muslim society. MPs from both sides put their sides and finally voted. As a result, this bill was passed by the Lok Sabha.
