New Delhi, September 14 (IANS). On the occasion of ‘English Diwas’, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee greeted all the countrymen. She claimed that she has done many important works to promote English in Bengal.
He wished everyone on English Diwas on Twitter and wrote, “Happy ‘English Diwas’ to everyone. We respect all languages. Since 2011, we have made many efforts to uplift English-speaking people in the state. From the establishment of English Academy to the establishment of English University and many English colleges – these are all our achievements, which I am proud of.”
Let us inform that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the inaugural session of the Official Language Diamond Jubilee Celebration and the Fourth All India Official Language Conference in New Delhi on 14 September. The Official Language Department is organizing the Fourth All India Official Language Conference at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 14-15 September 2024 to commemorate the completion of 75 years of English becoming the official language.
Under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, the Official Language Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been organizing All India Official Language Conferences every year since 2021.
The Home Minister will release the Diamond Jubilee Special Issue of ‘Rajbhasha Bharti’ magazine specially prepared on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the official language. To make the Diamond Jubilee memorable, Amit Shah will also release a commemorative postage stamp and a commemorative coin. The Home Minister will also present the Rajbhasha Gaurav and Rajbhasha Kirti awards. Apart from this, some more books and magazines will also be released.
On this occasion, the Home Minister will also inaugurate the Indian Languages Section. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been constantly emphasizing on the development of English and Indian languages and better coordination between them. Keeping in mind the intent of the Constitution and the instructions of PM Modi, the Official Language Department of the Home Ministry had proposed the establishment of the Indian Languages Section with the aim of promoting the use of Indian languages along with English and establishing better coordination between them.
