Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that the Congress will not allow the BJP to set foot in the state at any cost.
Addressing the AICC meeting in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy said, “I am only saying one thing from Vallabhbhai Patel’s land. Under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, we will not let the BJP enter Telangana. We will stop them.”
The Chief Minister also appealed to Congress workers and Gandhi followers to ensure BJP’s defeat across the country.
He said, “From here we are going to defeat the BJP in Telangana with determination. I appeal to every Congress worker and Gandhi follower to take responsibility for defeating BJP in the coming days from here. We all should defeat the descendants of Godse and Modi.”
He said, “Standing on the land of Gujarat, I pledged to stop the BJP from entering Telangana. The Telangana region led by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former Union Home Minister Vallabhbhai Patel was freed from the rule of Telangana region Nizam. That is why the people of Telangana maintain relations with the people of Gujarat and the descendants of Vallabhbhai Patel.”
The Chief Minister said that Vallabhbhai Patel liberated Telangana, while Sonia Gandhi gave it the status of state. He said that his government has fulfilled the promises of Rahul Gandhi by waiving agricultural loans worth Rs 21,000 crore and caste census.
He said, “Rahul Gandhi has launched a 4,000 -km India Journey Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, which promised caste census, crop loan waiver, employment for youth and women welfare. During his padyatra in Telangana, Rahul Gandhi also promised caste census, agricultural loan waiver, employment and women’s welfare.”
He said that the Modi government did not allow Rahul Gandhi to speak in the Lok Sabha, as he feared that our Congress leaders would raise the issue of caste census in the House.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has retracted his election promise to create two crore jobs every year.
He said, “Prime Minister Modi promised to generate 2 crore jobs every year. Eleven years have passed and the Center should have provided more than 20 crore jobs so far. Modi and Amit Shah only gave jobs and every year 2 crore youths became unemployed.”
