पश्चिम बंगाल : मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में 21 अप्रैल को सुनवाई

Kolkata, April 20 (IANS). Violence took place in Murshidabad in a protest against Waqf (Amendment) Act in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) ruled West Bengal under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee. Two petitions filed in the Supreme Court regarding violence will be heard on April 21.

In fact, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court demanding an inquiry under the supervision of the Murshidabad violence. The petitioners have demanded the formation of SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court to investigate the violence. At the same time, clarity has also been sought from the West Bengal government for failure in the law and order situation of the state.

Supreme Court lawyer lawyers Shashank Shekhar Jha and Vishal Tiwari have filed this PIL. The petitions filed in the Supreme Court in the case will be heard on April 21. It will hear the bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice N. Koteshwar Singh.

With this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote a peace letter to the people of the state on Saturday. In this he wrote, “Opponents never want some positive and good work to be done.” At the end of the letter, he wrote, “Do not come under any temptation or deception. Peace is restored in the state.”

At the same time, Governor C.V. Anand Bose visited the violence affected areas. On Saturday, he said that he would raise the incident of communal violence in Murshidabad in front of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee last week and will also submit a report on his conclusions on the situation at the ground level there.

The Governor told the media persons while going back to Kolkata after completing the tour of the turbulent areas of Murshidabad district, “What I have known to the affected people is that they have been barbaric attacks. Such attacks are not acceptable in civilized society. It is against the spirit of Indian democracy.
