India’s Modi government launched ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ 2 days ago to help 4 countries Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Namibia, which are facing devastation due to the cyclone. Under this, financial help and relief material is being sent to these countries. Help has been sent twice under the operation so far.

According to NDTV report, under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, 1 million dollars (8.40 crores rupees) have been sent to Vietnam and 1 lakh dollars (84 lakhs rupees) to Laos. Indian Air Force’s C-17 aircraft has sent 10 tonnes of relief material to Laos and 35 tonnes to Vietnam. 32 tonnes of relief material has been sent to Myanmar by Indian Air Force’s IL-76 aircraft. Earlier, 21 tonnes of relief material was sent. Indian Navy has started HADR operation in Yangon, Myanmar. For this, drinking water, ration, medicines, HADR pallets have been sent on warship from Visakhapatnam. 74 people have died due to Yagi storm in Myanmar. 2.40 lakh people have become homeless. 226 people have died in Vietnam alone. Factories, hospitals, houses have been washed away. 35 people have lost their lives in Laos. Relief material includes water, food items, blankets, medicines, utensils and solar lanterns.
