After ‘Operation Sindoor’, the trust of the general public in the Indian Army and the government has become even stronger. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only emerged once again as a strong leader once again over the action taken against Pakistan and terrorists under ‘Operation Sindoor’, but he has left behind leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamta Banerjee in this list. This has been confirmed in a recent survey conducted by IANS Matters.
In the IANS Matters Survey conducted between May 9 and May 15, 2025, people were asked that in the action taken under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the leader of which country is the most capable of teaching a lesson to Pakistan? Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got the most support on this. 70 percent of people believe that Narendra Modi is the most capable of teaching Pakistan a lesson. This is followed by Rahul Gandhi’s number, which has got the support of only 5 percent people.
Where is the number of Owaisi, Akhilesh, Mamta and Arvind Kejriwal?
This was followed by 4 per cent support to Asaduddin Owaisi, while SP President Akhilesh Yadav got 3 per cent, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal 2 per cent, TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee got 2 per cent, DMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. 1 per cent for Stalin, 1 per cent for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, 1 per cent for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, 1 per cent for Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, 1 per cent for Naveen Patnaik, national president of Biju Janata Dal, 1 per cent for others and 8 per cent of the people with ‘don’t know or not’.
Did Operation Sindoor increase PM Modi’s popularity?
According to this survey, 69 percent of the people believe that this operation has strengthened the global image of PM Modi, while 26 percent says that their image has not changed and 5 percent are uncertain about it. Regarding the impact on PM Modi’s popularity after ‘Operation Sindoor’, 74 percent of the people have said that popularity has increased. Also, 92 per cent of the people in the IANS Materies Survey believe that the current Modi government is capable of taking action against terrorism after ‘Operation Sindoor’. Whereas according to 1 percent it is somewhat capable. 4 percent of the people replied in a similar way and 3 percent people were in a state of ‘do not know or do’.
