New Delhi, September 17 (IANS). Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced the name of Atishi as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Atishi has also staked claim to form the government. Regarding this, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bansuri Swaraj gave her reaction while talking to IANS on Tuesday.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj told IANS, “Congratulations to Atishi on becoming the Chief Minister, but as a citizen of Delhi and a woman, I felt very bad after hearing one of her statements. Atishi said that she is not really the Chief Minister, there is only one CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal. Which means that no matter who the face is, the plight will remain the same.”
Bansuri Swaraj further said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government has been in power in Delhi for ten years. But, due to their inaction, there has been a complete stop to development here, and this will continue. The most unfortunate thing is that now Arvind Kejriwal will enjoy power without any responsibility. Being a woman and a politician, Atishi should introspect.”
Let us tell you that Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to make Atishi the Chief Minister after Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP from AAP Swati Maliwal is also against making Atishi the CM.
Swati Maliwal expressed her reaction on Atishi through social media. She wrote, “Today is a very sad day for Delhi. Today, a woman is being made the Chief Minister of Delhi, whose family fought a long battle to save terrorist Afzal Guru from hanging. Her parents wrote mercy petitions to the President to save terrorist Afzal Guru. According to them, Afzal Guru was innocent and was framed as part of a political conspiracy. Although Atishi is just a ‘dummy CM’, still this issue is related to the security of the country. May God protect Delhi.”
