New Delhi, October 26 (IANS). Indian Muslims for Civil Rights (IMCR) member Mohammad Adeeb has expressed a strong reaction to the violence that took place during the protest against the mosque in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
He said, “I have said before and I am still saying that the answer to this should be given to the Hindu brothers. Does the Hindu religion teach that you should demolish someone’s Dargah, someone’s mosque? This should be told to the Hindu religion. These are not the people of Hindu religion, these are goons. The leaders of Hindu society should come forward. Today I am asking the secular leaders of Samajwadi Party, why are they silent? “
He further said, “This is not the identity of Hindu religion. The Modi government is breaking the country and trying to destroy the religion. It is destroying its humanity. This is not happening in just one mosque, it will happen in every mosque. On this Will win this election. It is sad that the youth here have forgotten what India is? Surely this is not the India of my youth.
The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to build a cow shelter for mother cows on enemy properties. Regarding which Mohammad Adeeb said that if he had been educated, he would have said that I will build an institute, research center, hospital here, he would have talked about building a school. What can he think next? Yogi government has not done any development work yet. What you are seeing in IITs, AIIMS, research centres, universities, this is a strange thing for them.
It is noteworthy that Hindu organizations and other people had protested against a mosque in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, terming it illegal. On Thursday, a clash broke out between police and protesters during a rally organized by Samyukta Sanatan Dharma Rakshak Dal. The clashes resulted in stone pelting and lathicharge that left 27 people injured, including eight policemen.
The rally had prior permission from the administration. But the protesters were insisting on moving away from the route fixed by the administration. The police tried to stop them, after which some protesters started pelting stones. This required the police to use mild force, due to which the situation became more tense.
