Goa News Desk!! The opposition is attacking the ruling BJP in Goa, accusing it of cash for jobs. Opposition leader and Goa Forward Party MLA Vijay Sardesai has alleged that money is being demanded from candidates for the recruitment of 92 vacant clerk posts in the District Officer’s office in South Goa. Congress and other opposition parties demanded a judicial inquiry into this. Revenue Minister Babush Monserrat in the state government retorted to the opposition’s allegations and said that if there is proof of demanding money, then present it, the government will take action against such people.
According to the allegations, the examination for the post of LDC in the District Officer Office of South Goa under the Revenue Ministry was conducted in October 2023. A skill test was also conducted for the eligible candidates in February 2024, the result of which was released after 7 months. Sardesai has alleged that after the result, money is being demanded from some eligible candidates. In such a situation, this examination should be canceled and an investigation should be conducted.
Minister’s rebuttal- present evidence
Revenue Minister Babush Monserrat said that they do not interfere in the recruitment process in any way. The recruitment process is done through the commission. Manohar Parrikar’s son also opened a front against the minister
A few days ago, Utpal Parrikar, son of former CM and veteran BJP leader Manohar Parrikar, had also opened a front against Babush Monserrat, Revenue Minister in the Goa government. Parrikar had asked CM Pramod Sawant to investigate the allegations against the minister. He said that people like Babush are tarnishing the image of the BJP.
