Uttar Pradesh News Desk!! The work of the mosque being built in Ayodhya has been suddenly stopped. People are shocked not only in the country but also abroad by this news. Everyone has the same question in their mind that why has the construction of the mosque been stopped? Questions are also being raised on whether the mosque will be built in Ayodhya or not. The biggest reason for this is that the trust IICF, which is building the mosque, has dissolved the four committees formed for the mosque. In such a situation, people have many questions in their minds about the Ayodhya mosque. Let us know where the problem is regarding the mosque?
Construction has been stalled for 5 years
On 9 November 2019, the Supreme Court gave a historic verdict and approved the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Along with this, the court said to give 5 acres of land to the Muslim side. As per the court order, the central government allotted another land for the mosque. Ram temple was built in the last 5 years, but the work of the mosque has not started fully yet. Meanwhile, the mosque’s trust Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) has stopped the work of the mosque. IICF had also formed 4 committees for the mosque, which have been dissolved.
Why was the construction of the mosque stopped?
According to IICF, the work on the mosque has been stopped due to financial constraints. There is not enough money to build the mosque. The central government had given 5 acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board for the mosque. However, the foundation of the mosque has not been laid yet. The Sunni Waqf Board had formed IICF to take care of this land. According to IICF Secretary Athar Hussain, it was necessary to dissolve the committees to get FCRA approval and raise funds. These committees were hindering the work. Many fake accounts were being opened to donate in the name of the mosque. We have also lodged a complaint against this.
What will the Ayodhya Mosque be like?
IICF had proposed to build a super specialist hospital, community mosque, library and mosque on the 5 acres of land allotted for the mosque. However, the trust was short of money. In the last 4 years, IICF has received donations worth Rs 1 crore. However, the trust needs Rs 3-4 crore to implement the plan.
When will the work start?
IICF secretary Athar Hussain says that we are meeting common people and organizations. Talks are going on with many companies to get CSR funds. The work on the mosque will be started after the entire money is collected. We want that the work should not be interrupted after it starts.
