Delhi News Desk !!! The Supreme Court will give its verdict on the bail plea of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the CBI case on Friday. Apart from this, the Supreme Court will also decide on the petitions challenging the arrest. The bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan can give the verdict after 10:30 am today. Let us tell you that Kejriwal has already got bail in the ED case and CM Kejriwal is in jail in the CBI case, on which the decision will come today.
The court reserved the decision
A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan will pronounce the verdict on two petitions of Kejriwal. The verdict will be given on the first bail petition filed in the CBI case and the second petition challenging the arrest. The last hearing of the case was held on September 5, in which the bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan reserved its decision after hearing the arguments of all the parties. The court had given instructions to give relief to Kejriwal. However, the court also said that it will pronounce the verdict only after hearing both the parties.
Argument of Kejriwal’s lawyer
Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi had said that Kejriwal should get regular bail because his arrest was done deliberately. Earlier his name was not even in the CBI’s FIR. Later his name was added to the FIR. Kejriwal is being prevented from participating in political activities. In such a situation, Kejriwal’s arrest by the CBI is not right. He has been arrested on the basis of just one testimony.’ The non-arrest was changed to arrest. No notice was given before the second arrest.
What argument did the CBI give?
At the same time, the CBI said that Kejriwal is the main accused in the liquor scam. There is evidence against him. Kejriwal is playing a game of snakes and ladders. The petition challenging the CBI’s arrest is not correct. No constitutional right has been violated. On the basis of investigation, the magistrate approved the arrest. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 and has been in jail since then. However, he was granted three weeks’ bail to campaign before the Lok Sabha elections.
