At the 26th Foundation Day celebrations of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar), politics was hot when party president Jayant Patil indicated to resign from his post for the second time. He said that now new people should be given a chance to lead the party. After this statement of Patil, there has been a lot of stir in the party. The workers suspect that they may soon separate their way from NCP. These rumors were further strengthened when the party’s founder Sharad Pawar said that now I am looking for new people.
In the information given to party workers, Pawar neither took the name of Patil nor praised his leadership ability. He said, “I will meet big leaders of the party and talk about this issue. All decisions will be taken unanimously and collectively. We want to ensure that every district and taluka lead a new face party. We will work to create a new generation of party workers and leaders across the state.”
It is being speculated from Sharad Pawar’s statement that if Patil resigns from his post, he can also go out of the party. NCP leaders believe that the BJP’s door is open to them. The proof of this is that CM Devendra Fadnavis has been seen praising him many times. If not the BJP, the NCP of Junior Pawar will accept him.
However, Ankush Kakde, a major NCP leader and close to Sharad Pawar, says that there is no concern about the leadership in the party and Patil will continue in his post till the coming elections.
