New Delhi, September 17 (IANS). Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced the name of Atishi as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Atishi has also staked claim to form the government. On the announcement of her name, AAP MLA from Sangam Vihar, Delhi, Dinesh Mohaniya reacted. He said, “We are happy that Atishi is going to become the Chief Minister of Delhi.”
Dinesh Mohania said in an exclusive interview with IANS, “All the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have elected Atishi as the leader of the legislative party by voice vote. I congratulate her that she is going to become the new Chief Minister of Delhi. I believe that after she becomes the CM, the work will gain more speed. Our government will be able to work in a better way.”
Dinesh Mohaniya said, “All our leaders will work under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal and the entire party and government will run on the basis of whatever orders are given.”
Referring to Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, the AAP MLA said, “By resigning, he has set a new standard of morality in politics. He has shown how important morality is in politics and we should go among the public by raising its level. He should tell them that if we are honest and have worked, then vote for us on that basis, only after this Arvind Kejriwal will sit on the CM’s chair. The public has to decide his honesty, he has vowed to do so.”
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. After this Atishi staked claim to form the government.
Earlier, a meeting of the legislative party was called at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday morning. In this, Kejriwal himself proposed Atishi’s name for the post of Chief Minister. Atishi is said to be one of Kejriwal’s most trusted companions. After Kejriwal went to jail in the excise policy case, Atishi took charge of the maximum number of 13 ministries.
