Ranchi, 25 March (IANS). In Jharkhand, women will also be able to work in night shifts in factories, factories and institutions as per their wish. The state assembly approved the bill “Factory (Jharkhand Amendment) Bill, 2025” on Tuesday, the 18th day of the current budget session.
The Bill was introduced in the House on Tuesday by Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Minister of Labor, Planning, Training and Skills Department of the State Government.
Earlier on February 18, the format of this bill was approved in a cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
It has been reported that this bill has been brought under the Business Reform Action Plan of Ease of Doing Business and Commerce and Industry and Industry and Industry. The bill provides that women workers can be hired from 7 am to 6 am with their consent.
During this time all the necessary conditions related to security, leave and work hours will be applicable. Employers will also have to follow other conditions set by the state government.
The Bill’s preamble states that its main objective is to accelerate employment opportunities and industrialization speed in the state. It has been hoped by the government that this amendment bill will accelerate employment and industrialization in Jharkhand and factory managers will be comfortable in completing their production goals and completing it on time.
In addition, this amendment will also be helpful in providing equal opportunities to women and male workers.
The Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was also introduced in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. On behalf of the government, the House has been told that according to the amendments made by the Government of India in the Goods and Services Tax, the states also need to amend their rules.
