New Delhi, 2 February (IANS). Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi described the general budget presented in the Lok Sabha on Saturday and said that the public has not benefited from the ground reality.
Speaking to news agency IANS on Sunday, Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “This was the eighth consecutive budget of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. We expected that the public would get some relief. She would get the applause by providing income up to Rs 12 lakh, But the ground reality is far away from it. “
He said that there was no discussion on uncontrollable inflation in the budget. There was no mention of how new job opportunities will arise. We still do not know how many people have got employment under the internship program he had announced for the youth. There was no talk on the MSP (minimum support price) for farmers. He said that if we conclude the budget, then some headlines have been made, but in reality the public has not benefited.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) MP said, “I will still welcome this budget because the public is relieved in the tax slab.”
On the allegation of focus on two electoral states in the budget, Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “If they are presenting the budget keeping in mind the elections, then it is really unfortunate. It flew away the concept of” one nation, one election “. It has been because if you see, the people of Bihar may be wishing that the election should come every year, so that the assembly elections of Maharashtra have been held on them today. Despite giving more than 100 MLAs to the BJP, the public has been betrayed.
On writing a letter to the Chief Election Commission, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, the Shiv Sena MP said, “The way the Election Commission handles all the complaints of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Aam Aadmi Party is demanding the same fairness. We are demanding the same fairness. Seeing how the activists are being targeted, and even Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by the Election Commission, he was responsible for giving them security. Gaya. It seems like a targeted campaign, where the Election Commission will take cognizance and action on the complaint of the independent and fair.
On the submission of its report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Waqf Amendment Bill, the MP said, “As far as I think, the vote of thanks will be discussed on the President’s address from Monday. If this bill is introduced, then we It remains to be seen what are the provisions in this, what amendments have been made by the Joint Parliamentary Committee, and only after reviewing it can any comment on it. “
On bringing Tahwwur Rana back to India, Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the arrival of Tawwur Rana is the result of a long fight of 18 years. People of Mumbai, who have been expecting justice for so many years, are still waiting for the main and other conspirators behind the attack. Some are sitting in Pakistan, some are American citizens, so action is delayed. They should be punished by bringing them to India as soon as possible. “
