Lucknow, 20 February (IANS). The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh presented a budget of Rs 8,08,736.06 crore in the Assembly on Thursday for the financial year 2025-26. Yogi government minister Ashish Patel described the budget as a historic step for the overall development of the public.

Talking to IANS, Minister Ashish Patel said, “This budget is the budget for the entire development of the public. I congratulate the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who have always worked for the good of the public. .

On the criticism of the budget by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and other opposition leaders, Ashish Patel said that when the opposition does not have any concrete subject of criticizing, they only work to confuse. The public has understood their words and the people of Uttar Pradesh have been answering them every time. In the year 2027, people of Uttar Pradesh will answer.

It is noteworthy that this year’s budget is the biggest budget in the history of Uttar Pradesh. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, while presenting the budget, described it as an important step towards economic development and social welfare of the state. He said that this budget is 9.8 percent more than the budget of 2024-25, which will speed up the state’s economic growth.

The Finance Minister said that this budget has been prepared keeping in mind the state’s economic strength, industrial development and employment generation. The government aims to move rapidly towards making Uttar Pradesh a five -trillion dollar economy.
