New Delhi, November 10 (IANS). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday said that countries can find ways to reduce dependence on imports, our young generation can find solutions to this.
Speaking at a function at the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technical Education in Delhi, the Vice President said, “I urge you, whatever option you choose, have faith in your nation, have faith in your nationalism. This is a matter of great concern to you, our economic Nationalism is being compromised, some people are more concerned about earning money, no amount of earning can justify compromising with economic nationalism.
He said that look at our imports which are in billions, they can be reduced. Young boys and girls and the new generation, both of you are the class that is looking for solutions to this problem. You can pledge, we will cut unnecessary imports because of our entrepreneurship. This will have immediate impact. We will save billions of dollars of foreign exchange. Thousands and lakhs of our people will get work here and entrepreneurship will increase.
The Vice President said that I would urge that when you think about the economy, think about Swadeshi. Swadeshi should be our basic mantra. Without social harmony, everything else becomes irrelevant. If there is no peace in the house, it does not matter how much wealth there is in the house or how big the house is. Social harmony is our ornament. We have seen this for centuries. I would urge all of you. At first glance it may seem an abstract idea, but look at your parents, your teachers, your elders, your neighbours, the people you live with – if you are tolerant, if you maintain social harmony, there is something special about it. Is. It will be like a rain in which everyone will feel happy.
He said, “I urge all of you, be receptive, be tolerant, it will always benefit. In every work ask yourself, how can I enhance social harmony. After all, we are not a machine to boost the economy. We are human beings. We are part of a nation that is five thousand years old.”
Emphasizing the need to pay attention to the rights as well as duties as a citizen, he said that we are very conscious of our rights, but every right is linked to a duty. Just as the interest of the nation is above political and personal interests, similarly each of your rights, even your fundamental rights, is not more important than your responsibility. It is your civic duty to always give priority to duties over rights.
Praising the newly launched internship scheme and the National Education Policy (NEP), Dhankhar said, “The National Education Policy has been developed after three decades of intensive deliberations. Hundreds, thousands of suggestions were taken into consideration. The new mechanism developed by the government for experiential learning, critical thinking, research and internships for youth is going to be a game-changer in various aspects of education. This integration of entrepreneurial skills and design across levels aims to establish entrepreneurship as a viable career path for students.”
