Gujarat: A 10-year-old boy died after his tie got entangled in the swing of his house in Vadodara. In a freak accident, a 10-year-old boy died when his necktie got caught in the swing’s loop while performing a stunt on a swing at his home, police said. During this time he was strangled. This incident took place in Navapura area of Vadodara on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Rachit Patel.
Mother was not present at home
Police said the boy’s mother had gone to a neighbour’s house for a function when he was performing stunts with the swing. While his father was in the other room. The necktie that Rachit was wearing got entangled in the noose of the swing, causing him to accidentally hang and ultimately die.
The boy often did stunts on the swing
MS Ansari, police inspector of Navapura police station, said, “The boy was addicted to stunts on the swing, his family has told us. However, he was wearing a necktie, which got caught in the loop of the swing and left him hanging. His father found him unconscious and immediately pulled him down. The parents took him to a hospital in Manjalpur where he died during treatment. Ansari said police sent the body for autopsy before handing it over to her parents.
The police also said that the child’s parents regret their carelessness. People say that when the child was playing at home, his family members should have paid attention. But he was careless. After this incident, you can also easily guess that if the parents were near the child at the time of the incident, his life could have been saved.
