Bhopal. In Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal, around 20 people, including alleged history-sheeters, attacked the police with knives and sticks when they went to disperse the crowd during the lockdown, due to which two policemen were injured. Both these policemen were attacked with knives. Taking this matter seriously, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the attack on policemen, who are working day and night to protect the public from this epidemic, will not be tolerated and action will be taken against these goons under the National Security Act.
Talaiya police station in-charge D P Singh said, “Due to the complete bandh imposed in Bhopal, four-five policemen reached Islamnagar under Talaiya police station at around 10 pm on Monday night to disperse the crowd. As soon as the police asked the crowd to disperse, about 20 people, including two history-sheeters Shahid Kabutar and Mohsin Kachori, present there, attacked the police team with knives, sticks and stones. Two policemen Laxman Yadav and Satish Kumar were injured in this incident.” He said, “Both these policemen have been attacked with knives. They will be caught soon.
It is noteworthy that the area where the policemen were attacked is a Muslim-dominated area. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote on Twitter, “Attacks on policemen who are working day and night to protect the public from this epidemic will not be tolerated. Be it ‘pigeon’ or ‘kachori’, no one will be spared.” He said, “It is very important to teach a lesson to the goons and miscreants who spread anarchy. Action will be taken against these goons under the National Security Act.”
It is noteworthy that earlier on April 1, in Tatpatti Bakal area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, people suddenly pelted stones at health workers who had gone to find people who had come in contact with a patient of coronavirus infection. Two female doctors were injured in the stone pelting. In this case, action was taken against the accused under the National Security Act.
