There is very good news for women who dream of joining the police in Rajasthan. The Bhajan Lal cabinet of the state on Wednesday approved 33 percent reservation for women in the state police force. Apart from this, the cabinet also approved five percent additional allowance to the pensioners of the state aged between 70 and 75 years. In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the proposal for land allocation for a 3150 MW solar power project was also approved.
State Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa said that the cabinet meeting approved amendments to the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Services Rules, 1989, paving the way for one-third quota for women in the police. He said that a notification will be issued soon by the Personnel Department in this regard. Dr Bairwa said that the cabinet has also taken measures regarding the beneficiaries of pension for retired state government employees. He said that the names of specially abled (specially abled) children, dependent parents and specially abled siblings can now be permanently added to the pension payment order if there is no other eligible member.
He informed that for this, under the pension rules of the Central Government, amendment in rule 67 and 87 of Rajasthan Civil Service Pension Rules, 1996 has been approved. He also said that during the discussion on Rajasthan Appropriation and Finance Bill in the Assembly, as a result of the Chief Minister’s announcement to give 5 percent additional allowance to pensioners aged 70 to 75 years, approval has been given to change rule 54B of Rajasthan Civil Pension Rules, 1996.
Law and Justice Minister Jogaram Patel said that allotment of land for 3150 MW solar power projects will increase employment opportunities and state revenue.
